Companion Dog Project

Report a Violation of the Ethics or Husbandry Standards

Help us hold our members to the standards they agreed to.

Every Companion Dog Project member agrees to follow our Ethics & Husbandry Standards as a condition of membership. If you believe a CDP member breeder has violated those standards in their business practices, in the care of their dogs or puppies, or by falsifying records, please tell us here.

We review every report and investigate all credible claims. Reports are kept confidential: we will not share your identity with the breeder without your permission. You may report anonymously, though leaving contact information lets us follow up if we have questions.

If a dog is in immediate danger, please also contact your local animal control or law enforcement. We are not an emergency service.

Submit a report

The breeder's name, kennel or program name, or both, whatever you know.
A CDR profile, listing, website, or social media post related to the concern.
Please be as specific as you can: what you saw or experienced, when and where it happened, and how you know about it.
Only used if we have questions for you. Never shared with the breeder.

Thank you. Your report has been received.

It has been sent to the registry team for review. We investigate all credible reports, and if you left contact information we may reach out with follow-up questions.

Your identity will not be shared with the breeder without your permission.
